Stockers with Lockers Racing began in 2009 - and from those humble beginnings, became one of the most followed off road and 4WD / Drag race teams in Queensland and beyond.
The team started when Dave Casey and a few mates decided to enter in a 3 car competition, with the bare minimum of equipment and a huge amount of enthusiasm. And when officials asked for their team name, they had to come up with one in 30 seconds - they had basically stock standard four wheel drives, but all had air lockers, and so the name “Stockers with Lockers” was born.
Dave continued racing after that and within a few meetings, was getting a good fan base - the car by then was a very capable and competitive Suzuki Sierra, and even though there were thoughts of a name change, the popularity of the team made that a foolish move, and the popularity has continued to grow until today, and so the name Stockers with Lockers has stayed right up until now, through various race cars and race disciplines. The team is made up of Dave Casey and about ten other support personnel/ technicians and after 8 fantastic years of racing in the winch truck series, the team is moving on to it’s next very exciting chapter.
During the past 5 years, Dave and team have been overseeing the build of various personal cars including a LS2 HZ Skid Ute, a 600HP LSA VY Calais show car, a 600HP Suzuki Sierra 13B Turbo Rotary drag and sand dune car and also his very own farm tilly the OG 4.2L Patrol Ute called SWL GU.
When Dave and the crew aren’t working or testing builds, Dave will be behind the wheel of something, whether it be the BENDIX V8 Superute or a Stadium Super Truck, a go-kart or on the Sim, he just loves driving. Give him a wheel barrow and he will race it!
